About MIUL
The Miss Inter-University Liberia (MIUL) Pageant is a premier platform that blends academics, leadership, culture, and creativity to empower young women in tertiary institutions across Liberia. Unlike traditional beauty contests, MIUL emphasizes research, intellectual engagement, and personal development, creating opportunities for contestants to grow into leaders, innovators, and cultural ambassadors. Since its inaugural edition in 2024, MIUL has been celebrated as Liberia’s most transparent and organized pageant, where all winners received their promised prizes and ambassadorial opportunities. Today, MIUL continues to set the standard for excellence by merging pageantry with purposeful impact, inspiring young women to move beyond stereotypes and embrace their potential.
History & Past Edition
The Miss Inter-University Liberia (MIUL) Pageant was established as a unique platform to celebrate the intelligence, creativity, and leadership potential of young Liberian women enrolled in tertiary institutions. Unlike traditional beauty pageants, MIUL was designed to merge academics, research, culture, and personal development, offering a space where contestants could showcase not only their elegance but also their intellect and ability to engage in national conversations. The inaugural edition of MIUL was launched in 2024 under the theme “Beauty Beyond the Stage.” It was publicly recognized as one of the most organized, fair, and transparent pageants in recent Liberian history. With a rigorous recruitment and selection process, the competition set a new benchmark for pageantry in Liberia, prioritizing merit, integrity, and empowerment. Over time, MIUL has grown into a national movement that inspires young women to dream beyond stereotypes, become cultural ambassadors, and embrace leadership roles both on and off the stage.
