Vickjune Excel Wutoh is a notable Liberian gender equality activist and youth leader with over a decade of experience driving change in education, social justice, and women’s empowerment. She holds a master’s degree in development policy from the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management, where she also served as president of the African Development Forum.

As the founder of the Initiative for Youth Empowerment and Economic Development (IYEED), a young women-led organization that promotes gender equality through leadership, advocacy, and empowerment programs, she hosts The Liberian Youth Hour on ELBC 99.9, a weekly radio talk show that gives young people a platform to showcase their work, share their success stories, and inspire others.

Ms. Wutoh currently serves as the Professional Support Specialist in the Office of the Managing Director at the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation, providing high-level consultancy to advance institutional goals. She is a national Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) consultant for The Canopy Lab, a Washington, D.C.–based research firm. She has served as secretary-general for the Country Working Group at the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS) and as the first female vice president for international affairs of the Liberia National Student Union.

Her experience also includes working with TipMe Liberia, the nation’s first fintech company, as a business development agent, and she has led national campaigns, coordinated international advocacy efforts, and championed policies that promote equality and inclusion.
